Our Services

  • Housing

    We provide a safe, affordable haven for women in transition. The residence hall is home to single and double occupancy rooms available for rent at a preferrential rate, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  • Enrichment Programs

    In addition to housing, Gum Moon also provides enrichment programs to women and children. These include parent-child interactive groups, summer school for elementary school children, art classes, piano classes, and more.

Gum Moon Story

For over 150 years, Gum Moon has been a steadfast refuge in San Francisco’s Chinatown, initially established to protect and empower women in need. Rooted in resilience, we’ve evolved to meet modern challenges, providing essential support like career development, mental health services, and early childhood education for families, all while celebrating our cultural heritage.

Today, Gum Moon is both a bridge to self-sufficiency and a guardian of tradition, uplifting our community through empathy, empowerment, and enduring cultural pride.
